Hot’s Dave Eresian to speak at Museums and the Web Conference 2013

Friday, April 19, 2013 / 2:30pm - 3:30pm
Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront Hotel, Portland, OR

How can teams at cultural and heritage institutions conduct meaningful evaluative research on budget?

That’s the question that Dave Eresian, Director of User Experience at Hot Studio, and Ryan Wyatt, Director of Science Visualization at California Academy of the Sciences, will answer in “Formative Evaluation Techniques for Film and Beyond,” an upcoming how-to session at the Museums and the Web Conference 2013 (MW2013).

Drawing on shared experiences gleaned from Hot’s engagements with Cal Sciences, Dave and Ryan will touch on a number of key issues:

  • Iterative approaches to research
  • Scaling reach, fostering rich feedback, and leveraging off-the-shelf tools
  • Building a self-serve feedback kiosk using Keynote and Quicktime
