Technology is a big part of what we do at Hot—and Chris is responsible for keeping us up to speed both in the strategy and execution. He heads up Strategy and Engineering at Hot.


For the past 16 years, Chris has partnered with clients like Zinio, SFMOMA, Linden Lab, and Cisco to create innovative digital experiences that delight customers and grow business. Grounded in people-centered design philosophies, he works with clients to develop digital strategies and leverage emerging technological opportunities.

Chris has worked serious magic for Apple, Microsoft, Xerox, E*Trade, Gymboree, Radar Networks, Leap Frog, Yahoo!, TiVo, and Blue Shield of California, among others. He has held executive positions at Radar Networks, Liquid Agency, Sapient, Studio Archetype, and Landor. Chris co-founded Small Pond Studios, a boutique user experience and design firm, and has authored numerous publications on technology, web design, and user experience. And, his B.A. in Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Chicago explains his penchant for creative thinking.
