Curation: Stealing Stuff Devalues the Content, so Who Makes Content?

Here's a good blog post about how curators' basic job is stealing stuff. Well, there’s more to it than that, but the author points out that this isn’t the point. The point is more that the content creation business itself is changing in all of its incarnations and the question shouldn’t be, "Is curation evil?" but rather, "What do we miss in a content-devalued world?" The author focuses on journalism in particular and makes the point that what we are missing is the investigative journalism which is in itself, a curated journalistic experience. Investigative journalism involves the same process of sifting through massive amounts of content to tell a particular story. The post also points to Curation Nation which looks to be a good read on the nature of content creation in the digital world.
