Hot Climbs the Inc. 500|5000 Charts

Hot enters its fifteenth year in business as an Inc. 500|5000 climber—for the fourth time.

The highly regarded Inc. 500|5000 ranks the fastest-growing private companies in the US, and Hot’s 102% increase in revenue over the last three years earned it slot 2,365, breaking the top 50%. Compared with other marketing and advertising firms nationwide, Hot shone at number 227 of 420. And of 162 San Francisco Bay Area businesses, Hot came in at 92. In all three lists, Hot ranked higher than in 2010. The full report is available here.

“After several years strengthening our core business, we’ve broadened capabilities and deepened expertise during the last 24 months,” said Hot President Rajan Dev. “Building a team who has the knowledge and experience to approach projects holistically has significantly increased value, for us and for the companies we work with.”

Long recognized for bringing digital visions to life, Hot has now gained a reputation for delivering comprehensive client services. From generating application ideas that reflect a company’s overall business strategy to optimizing results, the Hot staff employs a cross-disciplinary, collaborative approach that keeps them a step ahead of the digital marketplace.

“Our recent work with Zinio and Kno—both mobile publishing groundbreakers—gave us the opportunity to do more than simply design great experiences,” said Hot founder and CEO Maria Giudice. “Hot’s new business strategy and research teams were actually able to help these companies transform their consumer relationships. Being recognized in the Inc. 5000 is an honor and a testament to our talented staff’s dedication to challenge and change. We’re excited to see what the next year will bring.”

Inc. magazine established the Inc. 500 nearly 30 years ago, in 1982, expanding to 5000 companies in 2007. The Inc. 500|5000 list has become a hotly anticipated indicator of entrepreneurial trends in the US, by geography and industry.
