Keyed Up: Hot Studio’s Margot Merrill Fernandez to Deliver Keynote at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism

Everyone knows social media and social content is exploding in popularity (more than four billion YouTube clips are viewed every day). But what does it mean for businesses, content creators, and storytellers?

That’s just one of the many key questions that will be answered at Social Media for Audience Engagement, a two-day certificate program being held at the Knight Digital Media Center in UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism.

And we’re proud to announce that Margot Merrill Fernandez, Hot’s Director of Content & Brand Strategy, will be the keynote speaker on day two of the event.

“I’ll be speaking about real-world social media,” says Margot. “In my talk, I’ll look at ways of bridging the gap between high-level trends that are occurring across the social media landscape, and the strategy and tools your organization will need to support social media initiatives.”

Margot’s fellow keynote speaker is T.J. Kelly, SVP at Edelman Digital, who will discuss storytelling through social media.

If you’d like to hear more of Margot’s thoughts around other areas of content strategy and development, be sure to check out her recent (and very awesome) series of posts about trends in content strategy.
